Rabiya Mateo, the reigning Miss Universe Philippines, is ready to crown her successor

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo is sharing her gratitude for being the Philippines' Miss Universe representative on her Instagram.

A post shared by Rabiya Mateo (@rabiyamateo)

In her latest post, the beauty queen said that it was her last day as Miss Universe Philippines and that it was an honor representing the country.

Rabiya's fans were complimentary in the comments, calling her the “best Miss Universe Philippines” and “our Queen.”

The image that went along with the caption is of Rabiya wearing a gold Lous Pangilinan gown. It is part of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 winners' last photoshoot, where Rabiya and fellow winners Bella Ysmael, Michele Gumabao, Pauline Amelinckx, and Billie Hakenson all wore different-colored Louis Pangilinan gowns.

Rabiya Mateo will be crowning her successor during this year's Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant, and fans curious about her successor can tune in to GMA, which is Miss Universe Philippine's official broadcast partner. The pageant will air on October 3, 9 a.m.

Aside from the coronation, the first national broadcast of the pageant will include exclusive interviews with the judges and the winner.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 coronation night will be held on September 30 at the Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol.
